Style Guide of the Week | The High-Low

We are officially half way through our Summer Style Guide of the Week series! I hope you have loved this broken-down version of our monthly outfit planners and continue to source TSS for outfit inspo this season. That said, we will have a short intermission in between this guide and our next. In it’s place, I’ll be sharing a 4 part Summer Style guide series, set to start next week! This intermediate series will cover ways to improve our Summer style with simple tips to follow when getting dressed. So stay tuned!

This week I wanted to share high-low looks. What’s high-low, you ask? Mixing high-end with affordable. Over the years I’ve come to learn the value of an invested closet. And while I’ve defined my niche, capitalize on the idea of a minimal closet, and promote quality over quantity – I think a good balance of both is completely okay. Especially if you’re still learning your individual style. It’s something I’ve done for years and love!

This week you’ll see contemporary brands like Re / Done, Doen, Cinq a Sept, and Loewe alongside styles from MANGO, H&M, Amazon and more. Be sure to check back next week for new styled looks!

Monday

When in doubt monochrome it out. I love combining different shades of neutral. The result always reads chic and polished. This neutral look curated from Mango and Favorite Daughter is relatively affordable. The Loewe basket raffia bag is a stunner and brings in an old-money, coastal grandmother vibe.

Tuesday

Stripes are by far my favorite print to wear in the Summer. For your base, pair cut-off black denim shorts with a simple tank and sport sandals. A draped sweater over your shoulders and a designer crochet tote complete this casual chic fit.

Wednesday

Our mid-week look sits in the middle. All pieces fall within that mid-range price point, under $250. White bottoms are a favorite to wear in the Summer. Pair them with a colorful bodysuit and metallic sandals for date night or a ladies luncheon.

Thursday

I love this Summer spin on a classic. White with denim will always win. This gorgeous Doen blouse is feminine and so pretty. Combine and complete with denim cut-off shorts and a reinvented white sneaker.

Friday

Summer wouldn’t be Summer without a maxi dress. I saw this gorgeous ruffled tiered dress on a fellow creator and immediately recognized its value and versatility. Tho pricey, it’s one to consider if you’re looking to fill any void. Mixing it with budget-friendly brown accessories guarantees you a polished fit.

Saturday

A sweater (or cardigan in this case) isn’t often on Summer’s closet list, tho it’s always good to have on hand for indoors. I love the mix of high-end quality layers with casual weekend wear. Complete your leggings look with a cashmere cardigan and quilted slides. You’ll be stylish and cozy wherever the weekend takes you.

Sunday

This outfit will leave you feeling polished and put together. Versions of this weekend outfit have been shared before. Adding a designer bag to the mix is one way to elevate your athleisure. This crossbody caught my eye and my fingers are crossed it’s part of the upcoming NSALE!
