My style has definitely evolved over the years. While my style has turned vastly feminine, I haven’t always been one for the frills. I giggle thinking how many ruffles my mom managed to dress me in before I put my foot down and claimed my closet my own. Funny how it has turned full circle. I now swoon over the pretty feminine details and love adding a few new pieces to my closet this time of year.
The past few weeks I’ve seen, shopped and featured several pretty Spring tops. I thought to spotlight and round them up here for closets likewise needing a feminine touch. Several of those shared in today’s post have puffed sleeves – a style most recently featured in my 30 second style series. I’ve made sure to add in those tips and how to style them below.
This simple smocked top is so pretty. I love the square neckline and the way it looks tucked into high waisted denim. Fits true to size.
The ruffled sleeves and floral print kick this simple top up a notch. Tuck it into shorts, white jeans, wide leg pants, or even your best skirt. Fits true to size.
This blouse has the prettiest details. I love the embroidered florals and the flattering neck line. Fits true to size.
The peplum hem and gathered cuffs are pretty details that won’t go unnoticed. Dress it up with slacks or down with denim. Fits true to size.
I’ve a weakness for puffed sleeves! These types of tops hold a lot of volume in the arms, so remember to balance the fullness with fit. This top has a bit of a boxy feel, so to create shape I tucked it into the white linen shorts. Fits true to size.
The ruffled collar won me over. The fabric holds the perfect amount of shimmer, too! Fits true to size.
The sleeves on this one make me swoon! I also love that it’s ribbed, allowing for both dressy and casual looks. Fits true to size.
This top is extremely versatile. I love the cropped detail as you can pair it with high waisted jeans, shorts, or skirts. The fabric has a crinkle to it, so it requires minimal ironing! Fits true to size.
This top has it all. The puff sleeves, ruffled hem, and babydoll seam bring all the details one needs for Spring. As far as styling, you’ve already a little shape with this babydoll style, so you want to create balance elsewhere. Opt for straight leg cropped jeans and show a little skin in sandals.
This pretty Spring top is so soft! The flutter sleeve and eyelet detail is the perfect pop of pretty. Tuck into sailor pants for a polished and feminine fit. Fits true to size.
