8 ‘out of the box’ ways to style a leopard midi skirt

If you’ve been reading and following me for a while, you’ve come to learn I am a huge fan of leopard print. It’s become a neutral in my closet. Yes, it stands well in the spotlight with other basics (ie a white tee), but it’s neutral title isn’t based on sole staples. It earns neutral status when I step off the ordinary style path and think outside the box. When I manage to create endless looks that aren’t so basic, I know I’ve a key aesthetic to work with.  For today’s post I’ve styled this leopard midi skirt in ways out of the ordinary. When I purchased this piece, I knew it had style potential, tho I hadn’t really hashed out looks in my mind other than those I could mimic off site or out of catalog. I had so much fun styling this $16 midi leopard skirt (yes, it’s only $16!) With Fall just around the corner, I focused on creating a few transitional looks and a few that will work in cooler months.

chambray top | crossbody | sandals | wrap bracelet
You can style authentically and think outside the box by working with must have staples already in closet!  Here I took an everyday chambray button up and knotted it to create difference! I folded down my crossbody into a clutch and completed the look with a transitional taupe sandal!

denim jacket | striped tee | belt bag | mules
Whoever said mixing prints isn’t fashionable, wasn’t thinking out of the box! It’s completely acceptable – stylish even! I love mixing stripes and leopard, gives your look a bit of character! Made use of my newest belt bag and I am set with a perfect weekend look!

tunic | belt | peep toe booties
Tho this circle hemmed tunic looks adorable over leggings and skinny jeans, it needed something to generate shape for it to work. My braided cognac leather belt did the trick! Finished off my style hacked look with open toed booties!

sweater blazer | bodysuit | wallet | booties
What about bringing a few Spring colors into the mix? I’ve had this sweater blazer for a while, and tho light pink is primarily seen in Spring, I’ve always loved the pairing of pink and leopard!  I styled it with a bodysuit and threw on my newest booties for a polished Fall ensemble!

wrap sweater cardigan (similar) | booties
Next, I utilized my belted cardigan and wrapped it to mimic a sweater! Threw on a fun studded bootie for visual texture and walla – another cold month go-to!

henley | crossbody tote (similar) | sneakers
Who said this printed midi skirt had to be fancy? I went for a casual look, throwing on an oversized henley and sneakers. Running errands never looked so cute!

cowl neck top | utility jacket | booties
I’ve always loved the utility jacket – it’s an easy throw on every season. Layered over a cowl neck sleeveless top, I can easily remove on hotter days or layer in September.

duster sleeveless cardigan | bodysuit | booties | crossbody
Remember this Amazon duster? Pulled this favorite out for another spin, and used it to add a bit more dimension to my look. I created clean lines with a long sleeve body suit and fancied up the ensemble with my chevron mini cross body.

Which out of the ordinary midi skirt look is your favorite? Hopefully this inspired a bit of style creativity in your closet! – either that or helped sway a similar opinion on my favorite print! As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
