New J.Crew closet additions & how I plan to style them

Hi there! If you’ve been around a while you know, but for those new – let it be known that I love J.Crew. So much that I consider J.Crew one of my first loves when it comes to style.

I vividly remember my very first J.Crew purchase – a crisp clean pair of khaki chino shorts. While J.Crew isn’t considered luxury by any means, at 16 it can make a dent in your pocket book. I remember sitting in the car on the drive home thinking that I’d spent nearly half my week’s paycheck on this one pair of shorts. I quickly dismissed any regret, sitting confident (maybe even a little proud) in my decision to seek out brands that I felt a connection with. I’d always love to sift thru their seasonal catalogs and book mark curated looks. The classic, clean, and even a little prep vibe was what, and still, resonates with me. I like to think those shopping trips and catalog swoons are ‘where it all began’ – a sort of prologue to my love for style and its development.

Twenty plus years later, J.Crew still holds a prevalent spot in my wardrobe. And while those shorts are no longer, that first purchase marked a memorable meet cute in terms of brand love. J.Crew has played a deep roll in my own development of style and gives reason to why I continue to shop and source them when looking to fill any gaps in closet.

All said, today’s post shares my newest J.Crew closet additions and how I plan on styling them.

Fair Isle sweater: Of all the newest J.Crew additions, this tops the list. I purchased this during the Holidays and am excited to wear it thru the season. This classic après-ski staple has forever been a favorite. I love the oversized fit and puff sleeves.

V-neck cotton-cashmere cardigan: I’ve found this newest comfort a necessity on most days. It’s cozy, incredibly soft and machine washable! Available in 5 colors.

10″ Demi-boot crop jean: I’ve been on the hunt for this style of denim. They feature a cropped, kicky hem that works with heels and flats alike. I also love that there is zero distressing as it increases their versatility.

Eco Cupro Slip dress: A slip dress is extremely versatile. I own a printed one, tho knew the second I saw this solid pale mocha colored piece, it would fit well in closet. Wear it on its own, over T-shirts, under jackets… the options are endless. Available in 5 colors.

Cashmere relaxed Rollneck sweater: I have been upgrading my sweater collection and am so impressed with this one. It’s incredibly soft, holds a relaxed fit, and exudes a light, extra-cozy feel. Available in 5 colors.

Long-sleeve Smocked Gauze top: While tees and sweaters are essential in closet, a pretty solid colored top adds contrast and versatility just the same. A light top such as this can be worn now and right into Spring. Available in 5 colors.
