Who else loves to wear stripes? In prepping for this style session, I was reminded how prominent this print really is in my closet; I have a lot of stripes! They always seem to make it in every capsule cut, with good reason. It’s a classic, versatile and fun print that I reach for often. Tho one may opt for stripes in July’s wear, I thought to style this fun print for inspiration well past America’s birthday. Today’s post shares 15 curated looks with this favorite print to wear this Summer. I hope this a source of inspiration to make this print your seasonal favorite, much like mine! Below I’ve gone into detail on each striped item, with similar options linked if that exact item is no longer available.
Style with denim shorts // Make the print your feature, and accent with denim shorts! Starting from left, this lightweight Aerie Summer Desert sweatshirt is a new try on keeper. It’s comfortably oversized, holds slits on both sides and the perfect layering option for Summer. Aside from the denim short, the length makes it an optimal top for leggings, too! Next, a newfound retailer favorite. This Everlane clean silk short sleeve top is classic, sophisticated, and gives you that overall ‘put together’ feel, without feeling too done up. I love dressing it down with denim shorts, or opening it up as a short sleeve cardigan with the functional buttons. I’ve found it does run large, I sized down 1 size. Lastly, this classic tee has made several wardrobe capsules. This exact one is no longer avail, tho I’ve linked one similar from the same retailer.

Style with pants // So I completely understand that pants may not always be one you grab for on Summer days. Tho if you’re anything like me, the air conditioned house often wins over rising temps. Plus, there are a few days we’re blessed with an overcast. Regardless, stripes pair well with pants and when balanced out with open toed sandals and short sleeved tops, you’re still well within season.
Even tho stripes are dominant, I don’t find the harm in pairing two together! The first look pairs a thin striped top with a wider printed bow slide sandal. These sandals are new to me this Summer, and are on repeat! They fit TTS and are very comfortable. I’ve linked a similar, affordable top from the same retailer. The middle look has me styling the Everlane favorite mentioned above. Lastly, let’s talk these pants – shall we? This paperbag style pant won me over a few months ago, and I’ve loved styling them this season. They are super lightweight, comfortable and surprisingly versatile. These fit TTS, and I opted for the short length. This exact color option is sadly no longer on site, tho other colors are avail here, and here.

Weekend ready style // Stripes can not only be fun, they can most definitely be comfortable! This ultra soft romper is one I’ve been reaching for most on weekends. In honesty, I think it may even be considered pajamas and may have purchased it from the sleepwear section! Regardless, it’s comfortable and clearly versatile! Fits TTS. Next up, this ruffled swimsuit has been a poolside wear favorite for the past two Summers! One of those suits you feel expensive in, without the price tag. This piece is super comfortable, flattering, and fits in all the right places. Third look rounds out the casual weekend vibe with a classic striped sweatshirt. I love the subtle colored stripes, and the look of them paired with my loose olive shorts. Lightweight and TTS.

Casually dressed style // I’ve had this striped button down for years. It’s very similar to Madewell’s central shirt. This too, has made many capsule builds. Leave out with shorts, or tuck fully in a denim skirt! The straw tote styled along with it in the first look, happens to have an accented striped lining! Tho it’s no longer available, I have found a similar option that would work well with a tied striped scarf! Between the two looks, I’ve a spotlight on the cutest linen shorts. I love the high waist, rolled hem and optional loops to belt. These fit TTS.

Dress ’em up (or down) // This Target find was an instant hit in stories! This cute button down sun dress is perfect for the 4th, and well into Summer. I loved it so much I styled it multiple ways, here! Fits TTS. Next is a basic everyone needs in their closet. This striped tee shirt dress is an easy go-to for comfort and style in one! This exact one is oos, tho I’ve another in closet that’s just as good, and very affordable. Lastly, do these stripes look familiar? You may have seen this dress in my Summer capsule (or shown in entirety above). Just knotted a cute graphic tee over the top and you’ve a fun pattern mix! Dress runs TTS.
