Oh how I love a good bodysuit! I still can remember my very first – it was white, with blue and purple flowers. I wore the heck outta that thing. Paired with my Jordache jeans, esprite bag and scrunchie held curls, I was the coolest 2nd grader around. (in my mind at least) Sadly, it reached the end of its days beige, with flowers wilted. But my love for a clean tuck remains. If you know me, you know I have always been the one to wear a tank underneath anything I wear. So with the 80s returning trend, it’s second nature for me to jump on the bodysuit bandwagon, revisit the style and utilize the benefits!
Today’s post outlines three easy ways to wear the bodysuit. I know they can be intimidating, so I wanted to style three different types of bodysuits for you to show it’s versatility. No matter the type, a bodysuit streamlines, provides shape, and prevents any unnecessary re-tucks throughout the day! Yes, it can be a little awkward to snap and unsnap when using the ladies – but that’s never stopped my wear.
Tank Top Bodysuit
bodysuit | kimono (similar) | denim | mules
The bodysuit creates clean lines and while doing so can balance your look. I love pairing this tank top bodysuit with a kimono in warmer months. Kimonos are naturally a fabricated piece – so pairing it with a similar thread-count can drown shape. The bodysuit balances the look and accentuates the kimono. This tank top bodysuit is incredibly comfortable – it’s offered in both a v-neck and scoop neck style option and available in a variety of different colors. Also less than $12. It does run small, so I’d size up.
Short sleeved bodysuit
bodysuit (similar) | floral skirt | heels | denim skirt | sandals
The short sleeved style is great for Summer and can be a great substitute for your dressier tops. I love styling the bodysuit with a skirt – any type really. I’ve seen it styled beautifully with denim, midi, and mini skirts! Again, it streamlines and can accentuate the prettiest of prints! This particular short sleeve I’ve had in closet for a while. I love the scoop neck, tho unseen, is carried all the way thru the back. This one is a similar fit.
Long Sleeved bodysuit
bodysuit (similar) | denim | handbag | heels
I think the long sleeve bodysuit works very well from day to night. I do not have a pair of long pant overalls, but if I did, the two would be a match. Again, it streamlines and creates any bunching of fabric. Pair your long sleeved piece with your fave pair of skinny jeans, block heels and cute bag and you have a date night look. This particular ribbed option is no longer avail, tho I’ve linked one similar here.
How about you? Which style is your favorite? I’d love to know! Comment below or message me on the gram! Thanks for stopping by!

Who knew there were so many options! I love the tank one you linked and there are so many choices. Can’t wait to grab one or more for myself
I love a good tuck too! A bodysuit can just look so sleek.
