4 ways to elevate your basics this season

THE SARAH STORIES

closet basics

We all have basics in our closet. While  their value increases with each wear, the outfit pairings can often become repetitive.

let's elevate

I thought to take these basics in closet and elevate them a little. Let’s breathe them new life with fresh accessories, trends, and a whole lot of creativity this season!

white button up

Make your look cohesive with the season and opt for linen up top. Tuck it into high waisted paper bag pants. Bring in texture with your accessories and shoe choice.

I.

I love how confident and stylish this outfit makes me feel. This fit is chic, creative, and far from basic.

leopard midi skirt

Pair the skirt with this bright hydrangea colored cashmere sweater. With your statement in place, balance the rest and keep simple.

II.

I love the added contrast of color and texture. Adding simple accessories make for a playful elevated look.

white midi dress

Adding a blazer is my favorite way to elevate a dress. It treads chic and sophisticated. Belting it helps to bring shape.

iII.

Keep the layered blazer and dress as is, or add in a leopard mule and woven handbag for contrast and texture.

point flats

They may not be a statement piece, but rather serve a compliment to other items you may not wear everyday. Like this gorgeous ruffle blouse.

IV.

By tucking a ruffled blouse into jeans, the flats compliment the dressy casual vibe. Layer and complete with a trench and black tote.
